Our Story

Our services include custom-made silk Korean traditional dresses called hanboks, hosting and rentals of traditional Korean wedding ceremonies known as Paebaek,  high-end bedding and furniture by Flou.

 

Founded in 1985 in Philadelphia as a custom-made hanbok and bedding shop, bdk|mint has since grown to be strong leaders in the hanbok, paebaek, bedding and furniture industry.

 

We are a third generation family business always striving to bring our clients the best in quality and care. bdk|mint believes that traditions should be maintained with a modern approach. We always look to make needed improvements and changes which means that with each coming year, our services get better and better.

1954	Opened in Daegu, South Korea (교동/양키 시장) 사장: 박연희 (1st generation)
1985	Opened in Elkins Park, PA (downstairs 고바우) 사장: 김정은 (2nd generation)
1987	Hosted a Hanbok Fashion Show in Philadelphia, PA with the Korean Association of Philadelphia
1998	Moved to More Shopping Center in Elkins Park, PA (첼튼햄 한아름)
2008	Moved and expanded to 2nd floor of the center 부사장: 김제시카 (3rd generation)  Became Philadelphia's Flou dealer
2011	Awarded the WeddingWire Bride's Choice Award
